Fascinating Errors In Nature

Another thing that humans do, which isn’t really a mistake of nature, is that they often try to crossbreed different animal species to see what happens. Sometimes, if the two animals are close enough genetically, they will be able to breed successfully – like two large cats did in the zoo pictured below.

This is a leopard and lion mix that resulted from a male leopard and a female lion. This is the son that was born—a leopard that is the shape and size of a lion, complete with a mane! It has the body of a leopard, and a lion’s face and mane. As cool as this might look, this isn’t something that happens in nature without human intervention – and it isn’t natural in any way.
