People Share Thanksgiving Mishaps That Make Us Feel Better About Our Holiday

November 14, 2010 by Regina Clarke

Thanksgiving goes hand in hand with food, family, and unavoidable mishaps. These photos are proof that this holiday leaves no one unscathed. Whether it’s a burnt turkey, a required day of work, a crappy (literally) looking dessert, or a broken oven, something is bound to go wrong! Hopefully, you spend your Thanksgiving with family and friends, and you only mess up something that has an easy fix, like the bread rolls or your new Uncle’s last name. Just make sure you keep a list of things that shouldn’t be brought up at the table, too. A food fight is never a good look!

#1: A Snowed-in Thanksgiving

This family got snowed in on Thanksgiving and used whatever they could find in the fridge to make a Thanksgiving meal that somewhat resembled the real deal. I’m not sure how I feel about this one, though. That’s an awful lot of pickles soaking into the corn dogs.

They should have stuck with meatloaf and had Thanksgiving on a different day. Honestly, I wonder how long they were snowed in because I’ve always been taught to acquire my turkey two to three weeks early and throw it in the freezer. I bet they will make sure to do that this year!
