#5: Is That Turkey Made of Gold?!
Look, turkeys are expensive. There’s no doubt about that. It’s not that they’re pricey per pound, but they weigh a lot and are in high demand during October and November for the upcoming holiday. This means you could spend around $40 for a nice-sized Turkey that can feed ten to fifteen people.
This turkey weighs in at 6.85 kilograms, which is about 15 pounds. The price per pound has gone up to a whopping $1.79 on average, so this turkey should only cost $27. It’s obviously a misprint, but it’s a funny one. By the way, the recommendation is to have 1.5 pounds of turkey per guest. Just buy it before Thanksgiving week, and you won’t pay an arm and a leg for it.
