While this is excellent advice, it definitely has the potential to cause many red flags to be continuously overlooked during self-deception. I agree you should get the full story before reacting, but make sure you’re getting the REAL full story. Follow your gut after you’ve had time to assess.

This also sets you up for some serious disappointment. I might be jaded, but I’ve learned the best-case scenario that my imagination conjures is rarely the reality, and then I’m twice as upset because I feel let down. Just use this sparingly. That’s all I’m saying.
