From Ranch to Ranch
Can you guess where the enchanting backdrop of The Rifleman came to life? The show’s astonishing set impeccably brought to life the rustic charm of North Fork, a western town nestled in the New Mexican Territory. However, what might astonish many fans is that the majority of the filming actually took place in the heart of Los Angeles.
Beyond the studio lots, picturesque ranches like Iverson Ranch in Chatsworth, Corriganville Movie Ranch, Malibu Creek State Park, and Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains served as other key filming locations. Notably, the latter was an accessible public recreation area, allowing hiking enthusiasts to explore and even visit the remnants of the captivating old western town of Agoura.
