#13: How Sweet
This next post is actually more complicated than it looks at first glance. We are all used to hearing high fructose corn syrup being vilified; I certainly thought, before I looked into this, that it’s worse for you than regular granulated sugar. However, at present, there’s very little evidence that is true.
What’s undeniably true is that eating a lot of sugar is bad for you no matter what form it is in. So definitely avoid eating high fructose corn syrup. But also avoid eating regular old sugar too. That’s the best way to be healthy, not worrying about the form your sweetener takes.
