Soothing Poison Ivy Rashes
As previously indicated, you can use Vaseline to soothe itching. It is also used to treat rashes produced by poison ivy, which is why many people find it extremely useful. Immediately after noticing the rash, you should wash it thoroughly with plenty of sudsy water.
Following that, pat it dry with a clean, dry cloth. When it has dried, dab a generous amount of Vaseline on the rash to soothe the angry red spots. Make sure you keep the region moist by adding more Vaseline when the original layer has dried off. You’ll need to keep it up for about a day or two until the rash has completely gone away.
