There are a million reasons to visit Austin, Texas from the live music scene to the local art scene, but when we heard about this pink taqueria, it quickly became the number one reason for us. So while you start planning a trip to Austin, we’ll tell you everything we love about Taquero Mucho!

First things first, Taquero Mucho is an all-pink authentic Mexican food restaurant. And when we say all pink, we mean the inside is 200% grid-worthy, pink everywhere, pink drinks, and yes, even some pink food. You can enjoy lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and cocktails here, just make sure you’re serving looks because you WILL be taking pictures. And lots of them.

The food is authentic, the food is real, the food is fresh, and the food is pink. Okay, not all pink, but the tortillas are and we never knew how badly we needed pink tacos in our life.  Now, Texas has a lot of authentic Mexican restaurants, but Taquero Mucho rates among the best of the best, so if you aren’t strictly showing up for the aesthetic or the photo ops, you won’t leave disappointed.

Taquero Mucho is widely known and appreciated for its drink menu like its ‘Kill Bill’ cocktail that consists of Tito’s vodka, strawberry, lime, and soda, the ‘Uh Huh, Honey’ cocktail made of Epsolon Blanco, honey, lime, and frose, the ‘We Gucci’ marg, and, of course, their infamous ‘Anti-B****’ juice.

Now, if like us, you’re wondering how all of this came to be, check out their story:

“When Gabriela Bucio, founder of Gabriela’s downtown came to the realization that her regulars and biggest reservations were all women; She decided to create a place for women to go to feel loved, celebrated and empowered. Taquero Mucho is just that. Dripping in pink feminine energy, this cute little taqueria is becoming one of Austin’s Newest Staples for women. The owner of Taquero Mucho prides herself on being a Latina Female owned and operated business. As the only Latina owner on W. Sixth street, Gabriela strives to preserve her culture, heritage and her vision dedicated to women of all walks of life. Taquero Mucho invites you and all the special women in your life to join Gabriela, her family and team to some pink tacos, pink margaritas and their instafamous Anti-B**** Juice.”

And, of course, the Taquero Mucho merch pops off, so make sure to grab a t-shirt, hat or fanny pack before you go!
