How to Stay Fesh All Day After Your Morning Workout

November 1, 2022 by Agustina Uranga

Our favorite time of the day to work out is first thing in the morning because we’re in a fasted state and well, sometimes getting to the gym is hard, so to get that out of the way is a relief. Our reason for going to the gym in the morning is neither here nor there though, let’s talk about the one thing, well, one of the things, that makes an early morning gym sesh difficult: staying fresh all day after. If you had a good workout, then you probably leave sweaty and smelling a little… Well, not that great. Whether you head to work after your workout or to class or just have stuff to do and don’t have time to get a shower in, we’ve got some tips that will help you stay fresh all day long. Let’s get started!

Use a Fabric Hair Tie

We absolutely cannot hit the gym with our hair down, but the problem is we usually run into hair creases with our hair ties and if you’ve ever experienced hair creases, you know these are impossible to work with. Combat this problem by swapping out your hair ties for fabric hair ties.

Give Yourself a Wipe Down

To make your whole body feel a little more refreshed, wipe down with a cleansing cloth after. Not only will you feel cleaner, but you’ll feel cooler. And smell better, which is always a plus.

Wash Your Face

The first thing we recommend doing after your workout is washing your face to get rid of all the sweat and gunk that can (and will) clog your pores. So after your workout, wash your face with cool water and a gentle cleanser to keep your skin happy.

Deo for the B.O.

Look for a deodorant that has baking soda in it because not only will it combat body odor, but it will also absorb moisture. So basically you’ll be left with dry, fresh-smelling pits.

Embrace the Dry Shampoo Life

After your workout, let your hair dry, then pump up the volume (and cleanliness) with some dry shampoo. After you apply your shampoo, go ahead and brush through and style as usual.

Keep it Clean

We’re willing to bet you don’t feel super comfortable in sweaty gym clothes, in that case, make sure you’re changing after your workout. Sweaty gym clothes can also lead to a multitude of things such as pH imbalances and breakouts, so even if you are comfortable in sweaty gym clothes, go ahead and put clean clothes on anyway.

Last But Not Least

Swish some mouthwash around for fresh breath, and once you’ve cleansed your body, your face, and changed into a fresh fit, spritz with your favorite body splash or perfume and you’ll look, feel, and smell like you’re ready for your day.
