#9: Environmental Shopping
This hack may require a little translation for folks outside the U.K. Over there (and in other places around the world), people need to pay a coin to use a shopping cart. Like the popular supermarket chain Aldi, the carts are all chained until you insert a coin to rent one. You get your money back when you return the cart.
You also need to pay for each plastic bag you take at the end of your shopping trip. This man decided that the cost was comparable, so it was just easier (and smarter) to take the cart. Sure, that’s one way to get your groceries home, but isn’t the cart a bit of a problem after? Perhaps he’ll return it once it’s empty. He could avoid this whole hassle by bringing reusable bags in the future.
