Cutting onions is no fun. It can be very uncomfortable (not to mention dangerous) when the onion stings your eyes and they begin to tear up. That’s why some people resort to wearing eye protection when they cook. Some people wear goggles when cutting onions, while others swear that regular old eyeglasses offer a measure of protection from the fumes.

This woman isn’t playing around, though! Instead, she wears a full-on welder’s helmet while cutting her onions. We wonder if she can see well enough to cut the onions with that contraption on. We sure hope so; otherwise, her greater danger is cutting herself. In that case, the onion tears would be preferable.
