With nicer weather upon us, we’re looking for just about any reason to be outdoors soaking up all of the sunshine, and not to brag, but we fancy ourselves quite the DIYers. Or at least DIY wannabees. So we put together a handy little list of just a few of our favorite DIY projects that will leave you inspired to create something way cool outdoors. Let’s take a look.
An Outdoor Fire Pit
There are a ton of ways to build a fire pit; you can build one on top of the ground, in the ground, out of stone, bricks, you name it. The point is, fire pits are great to have for spring and summer, even fall, because who doesn’t love a s’more or three?! Whether you plan on entertaining or laying in a hammock listening to the crackling fire solo, an outdoor fire pit is a great springtime DIY.

A Planter Trellis
We love the look of a plant that needs room to climb; it adds so much interest to an outdoor space, but sometimes we just don’t have an area for this to happen; however, those days are long gone because you can create that space yourself with just a few simple steps. A planter trellis is especially great for smaller patios when you need to maximize your space, and if you’re looking for something to create a natural fence/barrier, these work wonders.

Cement Garden Spheres
Maybe it’s just how natural cement looks, but we’ve really been into cement projects recently, and we die over these cement garden spheres. Whether you’ve got a garden of colorful flowers or all greenery, these spheres are sure to add a little something to your space. We love that you can opt for a number of different sizes, and are we crazy, or do these look like little moons? No matter, we’re all about them.

A Wooden Bench
Whether it’s for more seating or just for looks, wooden benches are actually pretty simple to make and you have full creative control over it from start to finish. If you’re feeling super inspired, we love the look of creating a new bench that’s made to look old, after a new stain, of course. Depending on the size of your bench this is a great place to curl up with a book and a morning cup of coffee or the perfect spot for some potted plants.
