Sometimes we’re hungry for a snack like that granola bar we threw in our purse a few weeks ago or that bag of trail mix in our office drawer, but sometimes we want a whole snack. A snack so extra it can (and probably will, let’s be honest..) be eaten in place of an entire meal. If you’re drawing blanks, but totally understand what we’re getting at, then this snack guide is just for you. Here are a few of our favorite bougie snacks.
Brussel Sprout Sliders
If you love Brussel sprouts, AKA tiny cabbages, then you’ll simply devour these “sliders”. Sprouts are cut in half to act as the bun, then they’re stuffed with prosciutto, mozzarella balls, and cherry tomatoes. Not only do these only take 5 minutes in the oven, but the toothpick is really the star of the show keeping these sliders in place, making them easy to throw in a bowl and snack on at work. Bruschetta Bites
If you’ve been looking for a way to step up your cheese and cracker game, then look no further than these bruschetta bites. You’ll start off by making a savory cream cheese mixture that you’ll then spread on a cracker of your choice, then you’ll top off your cracker with a hearty scoop of homemade bruschetta. These flavors work together to create a *chef’s kiss* snack that can be enjoyed at your next dinner party or on your couch while you catch up on your shows. Get the full recipe here!
Sweet Potato Crostini
This is a sweeter version of the crostinis we all know and love. Swapping out toast for a crisp slice of sweet potato is perfect for fall and you can get real creative with the toppings, though we’re partial to brie and jam, cranberries, or toasted nuts. We love to have a platter of sweet potato crostini set out at Thanksgiving and this is definitely our go-to for those Thanksgiving office parties. Get the full recipe here!
Shrimp Avocado Wonton Cups
They’re crunchy, they’re zesty, they’re fresh, and we could eat 15 in one sitting, what more could you want in a snack? Get the full recipe here!
Melon Caprese Skewers
If you’ve got a sweet tooth that just can’t be pulled, then you’ll be drooling over these melon Caprese skewers. You’ll simply ball your favorite melons, some cucumber, a little fresh mozzarella, then add some basil leaves and drizzle with herbed olive oil. If you just plan on keeping this melon Caprese all to yourself, skip the skewers and mix everything in a bowl. This is the perfect treat for a warm summer day. Get the full recipe here!
