Some of us wait all year long for Black Friday because there’s that one thing that we just have to have, but we are absolutely not willing to pay full market value for it, some of us go out on a whim just for fun, and some of us (cough, cough) like to go Black Friday shopping to score some sweet deals for ourselves (because we deserve it.) No matter your reason for Black Friday shopping, we have some tips and tricks that should make this whole thing a little less chaotic. At least we hope.

Did you find a great deal on clothes but you can’t find your size and you aren’t willing to stand there and/or dig any longer? Go ahead and grab the piece in any size, then after the Black Friday rush has gone, return it and exchange it for the correct size. Be careful though because if you make a ‘final clearance’ purchase, you probably won’t be able to take it back.
If the stores you like to shop at offer a loyalty program, go ahead and join because oftentimes those that are a part of the loyalty programs get even better deals often long before Black Friday.
As most of us know, online shopping is kind of the thing now, so definitely take the time to see what kind of Black Friday deals are available online because there’s a really good chance you’ll never even have to let your house, let alone change out of your pajamas.
When we think Black Friday shopping, we’re often drawn to stores that we view as “treat yourself” stores; stores we go to sometimes, but certainly never pay full price at. Here’s our advice: don’t underestimate the Black Friday sales at your everyday drugstore and/or home improvement sales. Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, CVS, and Walgreens often have killer Black Friday deals.

If you aren’t a Kohl’s shopper, keep scrolling. If there is an item at Kohls that isn’t on sale or an item that wasn’t as on sale as you had hoped, cash in that Kohl’s case to save some extra, err, cash.
Just say no to any kind of shipping. A lot of places offer free shipping or it’s part of the Black Friday deal, if not, and you live near the store, opt for curbside or in-store pickup instead to save some extra cash.
And lastly, if you have the opportunity to get a mail-in rebate, take it. This is especially true for appliances because those rebates are usually no joke.
