The Right Shoes
Walking through snowy streets or icy walkways can be as stressful as it is difficult. The very real fear of slipping and falling is unshakeable. Likewise, the worry that you’re wearing the wrong shoes is legitimate; as you can imagine, some shoes are better than others at handling wintery conditions.

If you don’t have shoes designed for gripping the snowy or icy ground, you can easily craft a pair. Take an old pair of boots or sneakers and put screws into the bottoms. First, of course, you need to make sure that the soles are thick enough that the screws won’t poke through into the bottom of your foot. Now you can brave the treacherous ground, no fuss-no muss.
