Quick Dry
Wet shoes (and socks) are a constant part of life during winter. Your feet barely stand a chance between melting snow, rain, slush, and ice. You’ve likely already discovered the trick of putting a plastic grocery bag around your feet to keep your socks dry during heavy snow, but how can you quickly dry your shoes to wear them again the next day?
You could toss your shoes into the clothes dryer, but that’s not always healthy for every kind of material. So, rather than risking ruined shoes, take a different approach to dry them overnight. Stuff your wet shoes with newspaper and wrap the outsides in a newspaper, too. The paper will wick out all the moisture while you sleep, and your shoes will be ready for another day of getting wet.
