Nobody’s Home
A lot of people like rideshare apps because they’re fairly anonymous. If you live in a big enough city, you can hitch a ride with someone and never see them again. This person got an Uber ride with someone a bit too close to home. She needed a ride to a repair shop down the street, and she immediately recognized the guy who picked her up as someone from her neighborhood.
Trying to be polite, she asked if the driver had any plans for the holiday weekend. He tersely replied that he didn’t celebrate any holidays because he was a practicing Jehovah’s Witness. Then, he made it weird. He straight up asked her why she never answered the door when he and his colleagues knocked on the door to spread the good word. Awkward!
