However, the kid interpreted it as something different. “Giraffes are heartless creatures,” they wrote. As you can see, the photos show a shorter giraffe dying after it can’t reach the trees for sustenance.

Yet, two taller giraffes are leaning over him, not even offering to let him stand on their shoulders for some leafy goodness. How heartless! Oh, the inhumanity! Really, this child isn’t wrong. At face value, that’s exactly what this looks like, scientific descriptor aside.
