To Wash or Not to Wash: These Items Should Be Washed More or Less Than We Realize

You wear your heavy coat every day when winter weather hits. You don’t have much choice; it’s either that or to freeze! So, considering this is an item you put on every day for several months straight, you might think you need to wash it somewhat on a regular basis. But you’d be wrong!

Your coat rarely ever comes into contact with your skin since you wear it over layers of other warm clothing. So skin dirt and body odor funk aren’t an issue here. You only need to wash it perhaps once or twice per season; any more than that, and you risk damaging your coat. But, of course, if you spill hot chocolate down your front, wash it sooner.
