We are convinced that all of the other cleaning schedules we’ve found on Pinterest are designed to make us feel bad because trust us when we say we want a clean and tidy house, but trust us when we also say we’re lazy girlies. We have no desire to spend an entire day doing nothing but cleaning. We’ve created a lazy girl’s (or guys) guide to a clean home and we live by it.

First and foremost, don’t even leave the bedroom without making your bed. It takes a couple of minutes tops and it instantly makes your bedroom look clean, plus it gives you that feeling of accomplishment first thing in the morning and we’re all about that, especially on the day when accomplishing anything else seems like it might not happen. (Hey, we all have those days.)
Sigh, just do dishes as you dirty them. We know, it was only a glass, but then it’s just a plate, and just a bowl, and just a sticky pan, and well, we know all too well how defeating it feels to stand at a full sink of dishes. Wash your dishes as you dirty them and you’ll never (okay, rarely) have to worry about a sink of dirty dishes because it’s non-existent now.
Pick a room and set a timer. You’ll be surprised by how much you can get done in any amount of time. We tend to get distracted while we’re cleaning and before we know it, the entire house is a mess. So pick a room, stay in said room, set a timer, and before you know it, that room is done.

When you have a spare couple of minutes, take a Clorox wipe or multi-purpose cleaner and wipe down all of your surfaces. This literally only takes a couple of minutes and it keeps crumbs and grime from becoming a major problem. And bonus, all the germs are gone too. If this is the one thing you do to make your home a little cleaner, we stan a queen.
Invest in a cordless vacuum and use that thing on the daily. You can nab them at a decent price on Amazon, but the battery is rechargeable and it makes vacuuming so much faster and easier. If this still sounds like a little much, consider a robot vacuum like a Roomba.
Focus more on maintenance and work smart, not hard. For instance, use a shower spray that all you have to do is spray and wipe every morning, hang towels after using them instead of throwing them on the ground, sort through mail versus piling it, and before you go to bed pick up any messes you might have made with clothes, pet toys, or what have you.
