I wouldn’t mind going to this auction… Beyond the obvious appeal of shouting out numbers while surrounded by a group of Eastern European locals and snacking on sauerkraut and borscht, I like the idea of being able to activate any electronic devices remotely. It could really upgrade my entire existence.

I could turn the oven on while still on the way home from work or boil the kettle before getting out of bed with a simple call from my cellphone. I know we’re supposed to be living in an age of smart appliances and smart houses. But something about the cellphone method is just so romantic.
