You’re Hot and You’re Cold
One Reddit user shared that they can no longer feel any temperature. They lost the ability to sense temperature when they had brain surgery to remove a dangerous tumor. Thankfully the surgery was successful, and they are okay. Their loss of feeling temperature seems like the price they had to pay, though.
This person didn’t share details, but our guess is that the brain surgery affected the parietal lobe. The parietal lobe regulates sensory information like touch, external temperature, pain, and pressure. Sensing temperature is a dangerous ability to lose because touching something that is too hot or cold can cause serious injury. We hope they have someone in their life who is there to help them out.
