Talking, Interrupted
People with ADHD tend to talk over others for various reasons. One reason could be because they want to say something, so they say it right away before they forget. Another reason could be because they’re excited or nervous to make a point in the conversation, so they end up cutting off people or talking over them.
Unfortunately, many people can find the interruptions off-putting and can interpret that behavior as self-centered or rude. This person acknowledges that their ADHD always wants to interrupt others during conversations, so they try their hardest to control themselves. They thought everyone got an overwhelming urge to impulsively speak, but then they learned that they have ADHD.
