Zoning Out
Zoning out can be restorative for some of us when our brain is tired. However, if someone tends to zone out a lot during conversations or meetings, that could be a sign of ADHD. This person has always spaced out, but they didn’t realize it was a symptom of ADHD until recently.
What happens is that they will stare off into space without actually thinking about anything. They describe their zone out sessions as feeling practically asleep! They usually don’t snap out of it until someone waves their hand in front of their face or does something else to get their attention.
