Extreme Procrastination
This person always thought that procrastination was the same for everyone. As they grew older, they quickly realized that not everyone stares at a blank page for five hours instead of starting their final assignment for class. Whoops! They explained that they often feel the urge to do something but simultaneously feel completely unable to force themselves to start.
These warring feelings of urgency and paralysis cause them to spend way longer than necessary on a simple task that could take just a few minutes to complete. A lot of people with ADHD can experience procrastination to this extreme level because of a short attention span, lack of interest in the task, or an inability to manage their time. That means a lot of all-nighters are probably required to finish school assignments!
