#60: The Push-Up Warrior
Many people find push-ups the most difficult part of a workout. If you don’t have upper-arm strength, you’re done for. Minoru Yoshida did not have that problem. He broke the world record for most nonstop push-ups in 1980. This guy did 10,507 push-ups without stopping once. That’s completely out of control. Our jaw is on the floor.
Before Minoru Yoshida did 10,507 push-ups, the record was 7,650 nonstop push-ups by Henry C. Marshal in 1977. After Yoshida set the new record, the Guinness Book of World Records stopped recording non-stop push-up challenges. They started recording most push-ups in a 24-hour period, regardless of rest breaks. Maybe too many people were passing out mid-push-up?
