No Tricks, All Treats: Fun DIY Treats for Trick or Treaters

October 2, 2022 by Victoria Lewis

Halloween, in our humble opinion, is truly the most wonderful time of the year and we’ve been wasting no time getting ready for the night. And one thing we’re committing to this year is being the house with not just the best candy, but the best candy presentation. From edible spider webs to extra large lollipops filled with candy, we’ve got you covered if this is a spooky bandwagon you want to jump on!

Halloween Lollipops

These huge lollipops are guaranteed to be a real showstopper this Halloween. And the best part? They’re easy and fun to make. All you need are paper plates, tape, hot glue, ribbon, treat sticks or dowel rods, tissue paper, construction paper, cellophane bags, and, of course, candy. We highly recommend letting your creativity run wild by making jack-o-lanterns, frankensteins, witches, and ghosts. Get the full instructions here!

Giant Spider Web

Not only does this look super cool and creepy, but it lets all of those little ghouls pick the candy they like the best! What we love most about this giant spider web is that it’s surprisingly easy to make. All you need are four long branches, one skein of yarn, packing tape, scissors, and a massive bag of candy. After about an hour out of your day, you’ll have a huge spider web full of candy that trick or treaters will love pulling candy from and just like that you’ll be THAT cool house. Sticky Spider Webs

If giant spider webs aren’t your thing, then maybe we can interest you in sticky ones. If you want to do a sugary treat, but want to get a little more unique than just candy, then consider cotton candy. All you need for this treat is some store-bought cotton candy, striped paper straws, plastic spider rings, and clear treat bags. Now, the original tutorial is ideal if you’re setting up for a Halloween party, but we modified it a little bit and opted to wrap cotton candy up individually to pass out on Halloween night! Get the full instructions here.

Tootsie Pop Spiders

If we can’t interest you in spider webs, what about just plain spiders? This is another treat that comes together fast and can do double duty as a Halloween party favor and/or a fun, unique treat for trick-or-treaters. All you need are black pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and a big bag of Tootsie Pops. Get the full instructions here!

Broomstick Treat Bags

While we love creepy crawly spiders and the tangled webs they weave, we’re switching it up with this next idea and getting witchy. All you need to make these broomstick treat bags are paper bags, one stick per broom, candy, and some Halloween ribbon to tie them up with. Get the full instructions here!
