We’ve all had those conversations with older people that start out great but then suddenly get off the rails because they can’t for the life of them remember what they were talking about. Losing your train of thought happens more often in your forties. Sometimes, you’ll get to hear the story all over again, and sometimes, you may never know the ending.

I have some bad news for you. Turning 40 means that you are one day closer to becoming someone who loses their train of thought in the middle of a sentence. And at some point, you will definitely tell the same story to the same person, perhaps more than once. It’s just part of the 40-territory.
