Remember when we told you that waking up in the morning might cause you physical pain in your 40s? The other thing you might be experiencing every morning in your 40s is heartburn. Some people are more affected by heartburn than others, and if you’re one of these people, this is one part about getting older you’re not going to enjoy.

The good news is that heartburn has a lot do to with your diet, so if you get rid of the triggers (mostly fried food) and start eating healthier, you may never have to deal with it at all. Additionally, sitting upright for at least 30 minutes can greatly reduce heartburn. Maybe the bedside snacks weren’t a great idea after all.
