#26: If the Key Fits
Maybe I’m naive, but I just expect people in positions of power and authority to be smarter and more responsible than me. So I’m constantly surprised to hear things like this about how systems that are supposed to be the strongest in the world are weaker even than the ones I have in my home.
I thought it was a common cliche that the weakness of powerful militaries can often be found somewhere really basic. Yet, it seems it is a cliche because it is true. As for me, I’ll be making sure the next time I restock my collection of armored vehicles that all have different keys and complicated starting mechanisms.
