Red Caboose Motel, Pennsylvania
This one is for history buffs as well as train buffs. In 1969, the Pennsylvania Railroad put on sale nineteen vintage cabooses, which were then acquired by Donald M. Denlinger. Not sure what to do with this strange purchase, he later turned the nineteen cabooses into a one-of-a-kind motel, that attracts mostly train enthusiasts every year.

The motel features cabooses – or rooms – of different sizes, to fit families, couples or friends looking for a unique experience. Strasburg might not sound like an obvious destination for a vacation, but, to our surprise, this caboose motel isn’t the only touristic attraction the village has to offer.
