De-Ice Walkways Spent Coffee Grounds
You’re probably well aware that salt melts through ice. That’s why cities oftentimes have salt trucks to dump copious amounts of the stuff on public roads. But what if you’ve run out of salt for your driveway? Well, there’s a solution to this problem, too.
Do you drink coffee? If you do, don’t toss out the spent grounds just yet. You can use old coffee grounds to melt ice on walkways and driveways. Just sprinkle the stuff onto whatever surface you want to de-ice and wait a few minutes for the coffee grounds to do their thing. Make sure you wipe your feet thoroughly before going back indoors.
