Paper-Wrap Your Shoes
In the winter, getting your shoes wet is unavoidable. Some Americans will rely on an indoor dryer to keep their footwear nice and dry after going outside. However, if you don’t have an indoor dryer, how can you keep your shoes from becoming soggy and potentially becoming overrun with mold?
As soon as you enter the threshold of your door, wrap your shoes in newspaper. This method will dry the shoes without leaving water all over the home for people to step in and drag around, resulting in a muddy mess. Just make sure you replace the newspaper when it becomes too soggy, or it might create a moldy mess later on.
