The holiday season is officially here which means there are probably a lot of events happening in your life between Friendsgiving, family dinners, office parties, and if you’re like us then an event you’re attending calls for a new outfit! Or at least a new piece you can style, we’re all about mixing new pieces and thrifted pieces. (Hey, it’s the holiday season and money is tight around here!) So we’ve rounded up a few pieces we’re kind of living for right now and we’ve shared how we would style them. Now of course most of the fun lies in coming up with a fit that shows off your unique style; we’re simply here to inspire. Let’s get started!
Maeve Puff Sleeved Sweetheart Mini Dress
Dresses are a great option when it comes to the holidays because all you really have to do is throw a coat on and you’re set, that’s the outfit. We absolutely adore this dress from Anthropologie for all of its wonderful little details. Now if you live somewhere on the chilly side, you’ll definitely want to wear some tights with it and we highly recommend nabbing a pair that are printed because why not? It adds a ton of visual interest to your outfit. We also love pairing a chunky boot with this dress, again, just to add some boldness to your look. Add a few delicate accessories and a big, warm coat and you’ll be ready for whatever gathering you’re going to! Shop this dress here!
Puff-Sleeve Lace-Trim Clip-Dot Blouse
We absolutely adore this fun top from Old Navy, and because it’s from Old Navy it’s available in sizes XS-4X and there are four different colors to choose from, so you really can’t go wrong. As for styling, clearly, this top looks incredible tucked into jeans, if you’re needing to be a little more office-friendly with your look, we love this with a wide-leg trouser and pointed toe slip-on mule. And if you’re feeling extra trendy, we happen to adore this top under a jumper, paired with tights (you can be warm and stylish!) then finished off with a booty. Nab this top here!
Cozy Stretch Duster
Everlane is the place to go for basics, and if you fancy yourself a bit of a minimalist when it comes to style you either frequent Everland already, or we just turned you on to your new favorite place. We went with this simple and chic, yet oh so cozy duster for all of your more low-key gatherings this holiday season. As for styling this, we say put on a mock turtleneck bodysuit under this sweater, then pair it all with your favorite high-waisted jeans, and as for shoes, add a fun print with some bold bootys. If this is just your thing, shop this duster here!
(Re)sourced Georgette Pintuck Maxi Skirt in Amie Floral
Maxi skirts are great for the colder months because they keep that much more of you a little warmer. They’re also super easy to style! As for this one, we love the delicate floral detail, and we would put our comfiest, chunkiest, most oversized knit over this skirt, then use a belt under the sweater to keep our waist defined and keep the sweater right where we want it. Pair this outfit with a pointed-toe flat or slip-on mule and you’re good to go! Shop this skirt here!
