#22: Let’s Get Physical
If there’s anything we’ve learned from Elle Woods’ court case at the end of Legally Blonde, it’s that exercise gives you endorphins, and endorphins make you happy. (Well, that and the fact that you can’t wash your hair for 24 hours after getting a perm.) But actually, it releases even more brain chemicals than that, all of which put you in a better mood.

Look, I don’t want to sound like a testimonial in an infomercial, but this is absolutely, 100% true. I’m not always good about exercising, and I can absolutely see a difference during the patches of my life when I am exercising regularly and when I am not; when I am, I am noticeably happier. So get out there! Even if all you can do is just take a walk every day, that will get you started on your path to feeling better.
