#33: Who’s the Washer to Wash the Washer?
Just as you need to wash your dishwasher, you must also clean your washing machine. It seems a bit silly to wash something whose entire purpose in life is to wash! It sloshes water and soap around all day; doesn’t that keep it clean? We might think this was a scam if we didn’t know better.

Of course, though, the inside of a washing machine is an excellent spot for the growth of, you guessed it, bacteria. As a result, you need to clean the drum of your washing machine about once a month, but fortunately, you don’t need to do any scrubbing. Instead, just add some washing machine cleaning solution and run a cycle. Bonus: you don’t need to remember to move anything to the dryer!
