Sometimes there just aren’t enough cup holders in your car to hold everything. Whether you are double fisting take out sodas or coffees with a side of water, you sometimes wish for more cup holders than you have. The good news is that you can fashion a DIY cupholder in an emergency.

Your shoe is often very nearly the right size to hold your drink upright! Sure, it’s not a perfect solution, but it’s better than holding a cup of hot coffee between your legs. If your drink still has a little wiggle room, use a sock or napkins to keep your drink steady. And you always have a shoe with you. (At least, we sure hope so!)
