Asymmetry is the In-Thing
Oh, look. It’s another case of a range hood miles off from being aligned with its stovetop. Except, in this case, the range hood is clearly in the right place. The stovetop is the problem here. Who decided to place it at such a horrible angle? It makes so little sense to us. And what about that patch of wasted space behind it?

We can imagine waking up every morning to a stovetop that contractors decided to place diagonally. It’s enough to drive us mad. And then, thanks to that poor decision the range hood is absolutely useless. It won’t be pulling steam or grease efficiently where it’s placed. We feel we need to lodge a formal complaint.
