#17: In Sickness and In Health
LGBT rights have come a long way over the course of humanity’s history, but that’s for another time. This map shows the distribution of same-sex households, and while it is quick to assume that these are gay households, that isn’t necessarily the case – they could actually just be roommates.
What’s interesting about this data is that some of the highest concentrations of same-sex households are in states with some of the most outspoken opinions on the idea. We’re also starting to notice a pattern and think that people just don’t live in the Dakotas, Montana, or Idaho, because of the general lack of or low amount of data from these states.
