A Few of Our Favorite Soup Recipes to Keep You Warm This Winter

December 1, 2021 by Veronica Phillips

We keep saying “‘tis the season” a lot, but we have to have something to get us through these cold, dark winter days. And yeah, we get it, technically it’s not even winter yet, but it’s close enough that we’re starting to feel the effects, SO to help with that (and the frigid temperatures!) we put together a list of our favorite soup recipes that are guaranteed to keep you warm, cozy, and fed all winter long! And just to preface each of these recipes, they are all much more tasty eaten out of a bread bowl or served with a side of a hot, crusty baguette. Let’s take a look!

Creamy Tortellini Soup with Sausage

Talk about comfort food, this soup pretty much as it all: a tomato base, sausage, tortellini, spinach, and kale. And the best part? You can throw all of those delicious ingredients together  (well, basically) and make it in just about 30 minutes. We think this soup is best served up with a grilled cheese sandwich or a slice or two of cheesy garlic bread. If you have a ton leftover, freeze the rest and on an especially cold evening, bust out this soup for a hot meal that will warm you all the way up. Nab the recipe here!

Creamy Chicken Pot Pie Soup

What could possibly be better than combining both chicken pot pie and chicken noodle soup? We certainly don’t have an answer for that, but we do have a recipe for creamy chicken pot pie soup. This soup recipe combines rotisserie chicken and a ton of vegetables to create a dish that will warm you to your very core. Going with the whole chicken pot pie theme, we think some buttery homemade biscuits make for the perfect carby side dish. If this sounds like something you need on your table this winter, get the recipe here!

Slow Cooker Chipotle Chicken Tortilla Soup with Salty Lime Chips

Here is a soup recipe for all you spice (and slow cooker) lovers! Half Baked Harvest is one of our go-to’s when we’re on the hunt for a new, guaranteed to be delicious recipe, and this tortilla soup won’t disappoint. We promise. This soup combines the flavor of fire-roasted tomatoes, poblano peppers, smoky chipotle peppers, and shredded chicken. When serving we recommend topping soup with homemade salty lime chips, shredded cheddar cheese, fresh cilantro, and fresh avocado. Get the recipe here!
