It’s Beginning to Look Too Much Like Christmas
I feel this next tweet on a personal level. I firmly maintain that Christmas should not begin until the night of Thanksgiving, giving our national commemoration of the joys of overeating stuffing and gravy the respect that it deserves.
But I come from a family of people who seem to take the injunction to keep Christmas in your heart all year long a little too seriously. I am so tired of getting in my sister’s car in October and hearing Dean Martin’s iconic recording of “Silver Bells.” I mean, it’s a great song; I just don’t want it playing all the neighbor kids are out trick-or-treating.
